Sometimes I begin to feel like I am just "talking to hear my head rattle". Especially on days I only get 1 or 2 comments. Although I know you are not supposed to do this...it is so easy to begin to measure the value of your blog by the number of comments you receive.
What I have discovered though by adding a site meter, is... there are way more lurkers than commenters, and people do read even when you aren't aware. Take this for example.
Yesterday, I posted a question for the backwards Works for me Wednesday. You can read about it here. I got an anonymous comment from an online distributor of the product I was in search of and an email today from him telling me of the "complimentary" package he was sending.
Ok, people, just how cool is that? I posted a question, and got FREE STUFF. You gotta love the blogosphere.
Because I am so excited that my long lost De-Solv-It found me and I am getting some free, I just feel like promoting the product even more and telling you where you can find it too!!
This product will take gum out of hair, crayon off of tables, grease stains (cooking grease and black grease) out of laundry. I also use it to clean my jenn-air grill, and backsplash in the kitchen. De-Solv-It, you are great and oh how I have missed you!
If you can't find this at a local retailer, take a moment and visit the distributor that contacted me at down to earth products.

Wow! That's pretty awesome! It is a great product, by the way, as I've used it before. I know what you mean about being a bit "bummed" when you don't get many comments. Happens to all of us. I keep wondering if there is a way I've not yet discovered to get more word out about my blog. For right now, I'm enjoying meeting new people, so I'll just wait and see what happens down the road.
Now that is the COOLEST! Goes to show ya you have no idea who is actually reading. Wait a minute that thought is a little scary! :)
I can so relate about the comment thing as well. It's crazy how excited I am to see and read new comments and how sad I am when I see there are no new comments!
One thing's for sure...I love getting to know you and all of my other blog world friends better!!!
How fun that your got stuff for free. Even better that it was stuff you actually use. I've never used delolve it, I'll have to give it a try. I've used goo gone which I think is something similiar. Thank you so much for your sweet award. It's so nice to know that someone is enjoying my silly little posts. I saw all your new scrapbooking goodies, how fun. Do you ever buy stuff, but then have such a hard time using it because you like it so much. I'm the worst at that. Thanks so much again for the award, it's been so fun getting to know you and others through blogging.
How cool!! I'll have to check this out!
There are so many lurkers in this blog world... I get a few comments most days, but have close to 2000 hits a month. Go figure!
Maybe you have to be one of those crazy, crude, funny peeps who write mostly nonsense in order to get a ton of comments each day... and that's not me!
Getting free stuff ROCKS!
Cheers!
Jamie
Congratulations. Now you need to talk about diamonds or a car or something...it might work for that too.
I know what you mean about measuring your worth by the number of comments. I have found myself wanting to come up with better posts to get more comments rather than just being me. This has been on my mind lately and I am feeling I have more to share than decorating projects, rather I am feeling the Lord has more for me to share. I am trying to listen to Him more, which may mean less blogging time in the future. Jackie
Hello. I would love for you to come a visit us and if you want we will add you to our list of neighbors and maybe more people will be able to find you.
That's SOOOOOOO AWESOME!! And I know what you mean about the comment thing, but it's true, there are WAY more readers and lurkers than commenters!!
THANK YOU for always commenting on my blog....I LOVE your comments! And I love you too!! Have a great weekend!
That's a bit Freaky Friday-ish, with Distributor Man onto you so quickly... But you can't knock a free product... Does it get ink off walls??? I'm still battling ink spots... If you are out there, Distributor Man, I'm an Australian with ink on my walls..............................
Wow that is so cool I love getting comments to it makes you feel like people actually enjoy what you are posting about, I found you through Shannon's blog I will be back!
Hey there, thank you so much for stopping by. I am a total scrapbooker, but I have been out of it for a while, while doing other things around the house. I so need to get some pages done though. I feel like such the bad mom with all these pics saved on my computer and nowhere to show them off.
As for the font that I used it is called Curlz. You can download it off of the internet. Its a fun font to use for plaques too.
I am totally going to go look for that desolveit stuff. Maybe that will work on my stove. Thanks for the recommendation.
How cool is that, FREE stuff!! Can't beat that...it may even be better than comments. Just kidding!! I am pretty new to the blogging world. Well, not really "new". I lurk (I ahem...I mean look)at other people's blogs a little TOO much but post to mine NOT ENOUGH!! But trying to change that, I have actually posted numerous times in the past few days. A record for me!! LOL!! But as far as feeling "bummed" in regards to the lack of comments, I know EXACTLY what you mean!!
