Last night some of the girls decided they wanted to make cards today. Although, I'm not the card making kind of girl, I went. I love to do scrapbook pages, but I'd rather pay for a card. I know. They tell me it's just not the same. I always heard it was the thought that counted, right?
The little card makers slaved all day coming up with their own little creative designs and then actually producing them....lots and lots of them.
While I chose to do this instead...(I always have to be a little different, ya know).
This is a two page spread from this past March. Little Ann's birthday always falls during the week they are out for Spring Break, which works out pretty good for the whole family. This year we took her to the "American Girl" store in Dallas, Texas for her birthday. She had gotten a pretty good sum in birthday money before we left and spent every last dime! That evening we went back and they served us cake and ice cream from the Bistro.
Before I knew it, my Saturday afternoon had come and gone and this was all I had to show for it. I hauled everything up there, made 10 trips to and from the van, loaded and unloaded all for 2 pages.
Oh well, I guess the homemade ice cream and brownies made it all worth while.

Those pages are so cute!
I would be the same way. I have never scrapped outside my own home (well, in the paper sense at least...) but if I did, I would have to take everything. Because inevitably, I would need the one thing I did not bring...
I love the scrapbook pages, they are darling. The colors you used and the way you layered the paper is so cute.
